While boys will find this easier than most girls, you should pay close attention as to what you need to pack and your bare essentials that should fill your suitcase. While it’s true that some men can get away with carrying medium-sized backpacks of clothes and lasting a month, to ensure a comfortable, smell-free travelling experience, we have compiled a list of what you need to pack. This is suitable for a 6-month travel in various climates and will fill up a large 23kg suitcase.


  • 3 pairs of jeans (1 thick for colder weather, 1 lighter pair and 1 white or beige in colour)
  • 2 pairs of cotton pants (black and white)
  • 4 long-sleeve button-up shirts (these can also be worn in warm weather during a night out)
  • 2 pairs of shorts
  • 5-7 T-shirts (make sure to include light and dark colours, and 1 thermal shirt for cold weather)
  • 2 long-sleeve shirts or pull overs
  • 1 thick sweater
  • 1 winter coat
  • 1 leather jacket
  • Lounge wear
  • 5-7 pairs of underwear

  • a belt, in case you need one
