Two guys in a boat

At a wedding reception last week I met a man afraid of water. He told me he couldn't swim and had never been out in a rowboat. I told him I was in a rowing club and walked him down to the dock. I half expected him to find an excuse but he climbed in as I held the boat. Then I got in and pushed off from the dock and there we were, two white-haired guys in black suits, polished shoes and all, out in the middle of the lake.
At the time, I expected it to remind me of Monet, but the light was different - the sun had just come out after a rain and the light was clear and glorious with a lot of autumn in it.
"Don't you just hate 'leisure wear,'" he said.
